LLL Longevity Score

A transparent, weighted, self-reported lifestyle score. We publish every weight and state plainly that no coefficient here was fitted to an outcome.

This page has no named medical reviewer on file. The equation it implements is published and cited below, but the page itself has not been signed off by a member of the review board, and we do not present it as if it had been.

16 questions. Questions that only apply to some people appear once your earlier answers decide that they do.

From your health data

6 of these questions can be answered from lab results and device data you have already connected: Moderate-to-vigorous aerobic activity per week, Resistance-training sessions per week, Hours per day sitting while awake, Typical sleep per night, Waist circumference, Height. Connect them once in your member account and they arrive here pre-filled and labelled as coming from your health data — and you can always type over the value.

Set up health data in your member account

This public page never reads your health data. Pre-filling happens inside the signed-in app, which is a separate, access-controlled surface.

How this is calculated

Formula version lll-longevity-score-1.0.0

Fifteen self-reported domains are each scored 0 to 1 and multiplied by a published point weight, then summed and expressed out of 100. The weights are: smoking 15, aerobicMinutes 12, strengthSessions 6, sittingHours 4, produceServings 6, ultraProcessed 6, plantAndFishProtein 3, alcoholUnits 8, sleepDuration 7, sleepQuality 3, waistToHeight 8, socialConnection 8, stressAndPurpose 6, preventiveCare 4, functionalCapacity 4. Domain selection is informed by prospective cohort and burden-of-disease literature; the weights themselves are LLL editorial judgement and were not fitted to any outcome.

What it cannot do

  • Not a validated instrument. No published calibration, no validated cut-points, no interval.
  • All inputs are self-reported and self-report bias is large and directional for activity, alcohol and diet.
  • The weights are editorial. Reasonable alternative weightings change the total by several points.
  • Genetics, medical history, medication, income, air quality and access to care are not inputs.
  • The five-factor lifestyle literature it draws on is observational; residual confounding is expected and the score must not be read as a causal estimate of years gained.

The formula version is pinned so that a result you saved or shared can be reproduced. When we change a coefficient, the version changes and old results stay attributed to the version that produced them.

Questions people ask

Is this score validated?
No. The domains are drawn from prospective cohort and burden-of-disease literature, but the weights are ours and were never fitted to mortality data. Treat the total as a prompt, not a measurement.
Why does my score feel too low?
Because the weights are deliberately concentrated on the few things with the largest effects — smoking, aerobic volume, central adiposity, social connection, sleep. Doing many small things well does not compensate for one of those.
