Draft, pending legal review

This notice has not yet been reviewed by qualified lawyers in every market it applies to. It describes what we actually do, in plain language, and we intend it to be accurate — but until it has been through legal review it should not be relied on as the final, binding version. We will remove this banner when it has, and we will keep the change history.

Partner and affiliate terms

We only link commercially to things graded B or better, we disclose at the link, and editorial treatment is never part of the deal.

Applies in: DEGDPR together with the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG)

The grade floor

We do not carry a commercial link to a product whose intervention page is graded C, D, F, HARMFUL or INSUFFICIENT. If a grade falls below B, the links come down — automatically, on the grade change, not at the next commercial review.

A partner cannot appeal a grade commercially. The only route is the editorial one: bring evidence, in public, to the review board. See how we grade evidence.

Disclosure rules we hold you to

  • Disclosure sits at the point of the link, before the click, in the same visual context. Not in a footer, not on a separate page, not behind a tooltip.
  • Plain words: "we earn a commission on this link". Not "#sp", not "affiliate" alone, not a symbol.
  • The disclosure is not removable by a partner, a placement, or a campaign.

The standards behind that are the FTC Endorsement Guides in the US, the CAP Code and ASA guidance in the UK, and the ASCI Guidelines for Influencer Advertising in India. We apply the strictest of them everywhere rather than varying by market, because a disclosure rule that changes by geography is a disclosure rule people get wrong.

In this market specifically: Under the HWG we do not advertise prescription-only medicines to the public at all, and we do not use before-and-after imagery, testimonials of a cure, or claims of guaranteed success. Statements about medicinal products are limited to what the marketing authorisation supports. Affiliate links are marked as Werbung at the point of the link.

What a partnership cannot buy

  • An evidence grade, a change to one, or advance notice of one.
  • A position in a ranked list, a comparison table, or a directory result.
  • Editorial coverage, a review, or the wording of a verdict.
  • The removal of a criticism, a safety note, or a correction.
  • Access to member data of any kind, aggregated or otherwise.

Commercial terms

  • Commission is a fixed percentage or fixed fee agreed in advance and never varies with what we say about the product.
  • We do not accept payment for placement in editorial content, and we do not run advertorial.
  • Prices, stock and delivery are the partner’s. We do not set them and we do not take a share of a price increase.
  • Either side can end the arrangement with 30 days’ notice. Links come down; published editorial about the product stays up, unchanged.

Compliance and audit

  • Partners must keep their product claims within what their own market authorises, and must tell us within five working days of a regulatory action affecting a linked product.
  • We audit our own links quarterly against current grades and publish the grade floor rule so anyone can check it.
  • A partner that misrepresents our grades, or implies our endorsement, is removed immediately and we say why on the affected pages.

Questions about this notice go to the routes on the contact page, which lists the specific address for privacy, security, editorial and clinic matters rather than a single inbox that everything disappears into.
