Draft, pending legal review

This notice has not yet been reviewed by qualified lawyers in every market it applies to. It describes what we actually do, in plain language, and we intend it to be accurate — but until it has been through legal review it should not be relied on as the final, binding version. We will remove this banner when it has, and we will keep the change history.

Terms of service

The deal in plain words: we publish graded evidence and tools, you use them as information and not as care.

Applies in: ESGDPR together with the Ley Orgánica 3/2018 (LOPDGDD)

Who we are and what this is

LongLifeList is a publisher and a directory. We grade published evidence for longevity interventions, list clinics and labs, and provide calculators. We are not a healthcare provider, we do not practise medicine, we do not employ the clinicians listed in the directory, and we do not sell treatment.

The registered company name, company number and registered address belong in this paragraph. They are deliberately left blank rather than filled with a placeholder that looks real, and they will be completed before this notice leaves draft.

This is not medical advice, and that is not a disclaimer we can waive

Everything on this site is general health information. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a prescription, and it cannot account for your history, your medicines or your test results. An evidence grade is a statement about a body of published research, not a statement about you.

  • Talk to a qualified clinician before starting, stopping or changing anything.
  • For urgent symptoms, get urgent care. Do not use this site to decide whether something is an emergency.
  • Only grades A and B are ever presented as something you could act on. C, D, F, HARMFUL and INSUFFICIENT read “discuss with your clinician” everywhere they appear, and that rule is enforced in code. See how we grade evidence.
  • Calculator results are population estimates with published uncertainty, not predictions about you.

Your account

  • You need to be 18 or over to create an account. We do not knowingly hold data about children, and we do not profile or advertise to them.
  • Keep your credentials to yourself, and turn on two-factor authentication if you are going to store health data.
  • One person per account. Sharing an account with health data in it means sharing your health data.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your settings. Health data is deleted with it, on the schedule in the health data notice.

What you may and may not do with our content

Read it, quote it, teach with it, link to it. Our evidence grades and the tables behind them are published under an open licence with a citation requirement — the terms are on the data and API page.

  • Do not scrape at a rate that degrades the service for other people. There is an API, it has a free tier, and it is cheaper for both of us.
  • Do not present our grades as your own, or as an endorsement of your product.
  • Do not use our content to train a model that reproduces it as if it were unsourced fact. Attribution is the whole point of a graded claim.
  • Do not remove or obscure a grade, a reviewer byline, a correction notice or a disclosure when you reuse our content.

Reviews and things you post

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us a licence to publish it here and in our apps. Reviews must be your own experience of a service you actually received, and they are held to the review guidelines.

Do not put medical details about yourself in a public review or an enquiry form. Those are not secure clinical channels and they are not stored as health records.

The directory, and what a listing means

  • A listing is not an endorsement. An LLL Verified badge means we checked a specific list of things on a specific date, and the badge says which date.
  • Prices, services and opening hours come from the clinic or from public sources. They go out of date. Confirm before you travel.
  • We are not a party to anything you agree with a clinic. Your care, your bill and your recourse are between you and them.
  • Paid placements are labelled and are returned in a separate block from organic results. Money cannot buy organic position — the mechanism is described on our how-we-make-money page.

Limits of our liability

We work hard to be accurate and we publish our corrections. We do not warrant that the site is error-free or that any particular intervention will work for you. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you. In the EU and UK, your statutory consumer rights are unaffected by anything in these terms.

Changes, and how disputes are handled

We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a change that materially reduces your rights, and we keep the previous version available. For a dispute, write to hello@longlifelist.com first — most things are a misunderstanding and get fixed in a week.

If that does not work, you keep every route the law gives you, including your local courts and any consumer dispute scheme available where you live. We do not ask you to waive a class action or to arbitrate, because a term you would only discover when you needed it is not a term we want.

Questions about this notice go to the routes on the contact page, which lists the specific address for privacy, security, editorial and clinic matters rather than a single inbox that everything disappears into.
