What a listing means
Narrowly: that the lab exists, operates in that country, and that we have described how its results reach us.
- We do not assess analytical accuracy, precision or accreditation status here, and we do not rank labs. We have no comparable data to do it with and we will not fake it.
- Ask any lab which accreditation it holds — CLIA, CAP, ISO 15189 or the local equivalent — and check it with the accrediting body rather than with the lab.
- Reference ranges differ between labs for the same analyte, so a result outside one lab’s range can be inside another’s. Where we know the source of a range, we show it on the biomarker page.
- Integration status is a fact about the lab, not a commercial tier. A lab does not pay to appear here and cannot pay to have its integration status described differently.
